Museum of Contemporary Art
The design came from a traditional famous Indian Arch after few design improvements using modern design techniques, then repeat along a path in a parametric way and the path came from precise design study for Le Corbusier city in a very careful way, Le Corbusier in the beginning of his Architect’s life was fond of a strict geometry shapes but in his later Architect’s life he started to love non geometrical shapes.
The big challenge in designing this museum was creating a contemporary design with respect of its location from two main parts as an Indian city and as a city designed by Le Corbusier.

People visiting the museum feels super excited because they are walking through a journey of Contemporary Art on an exciting ramp, made them wants to see what’s next ? and what’s in the end of the path. The Arches made of reinforced concrete inside it there is a glass box going with the path providing natural light.
The straight path which is for the returning to the main and only entrance its bridges consist of steel grids laying at the concrete arches from its first and last points.
FLORENCE
Santa Verdiana CHURCH's restoration
In 1983, The University of Florence acquired the complex of Santa Verdiana. The project of reorganization by the architect Roberto Maesto enter in an urban planning plan to requalify the district. Fifty years later, the monastery still hosts students and teachers in architecture.
Before that it used to be a jail for women since 1816.
The purpose of the restoration is to make the church suitable for architectural exhibitions, show rooms and a conference hall.

FLORENCE

new entrance
The design of a new building in Florence as new access for Architecture’s Department in Santa Verdiana and as well as exhibition space for architecture works. The area is located in front of Largo Annigoni and it close the side of the historical complex of Santa Verdiana, that partially (in open spaces as yards) could be redesigned. The design area is now an empty space made of old and ruined walls but in the next few year the University of Florence, with Township, will start to build a new building for access the S.V. area based on a competition made in 2005.
The new building to design as final exam will have to be built thinking the area as free and also to think about its relationship with Largo Annigoni and with the inner yard system of Santa Verdiana.

Sports complex
Located in the University of Damascus city. The main sport stadium is multi purpose hall for several sports, Basketball, Volleyball and handball. In the other buildings other sports are spread such as Gymnasium, Aerobic, Billiard and Ping-pong .

This project consist of two separate buildings residential and commercial also a separate parking for each one building spread on two basement floors.
Location Analysis: The land of this project located in the middle of the capital Damascus between Omawyen and Abasssien square at Morshid Khater street.
